One person’s travesty of justice is another’s civil liberty.
To the Editor:
While your editorial says a more conservative Supreme Court would remove more civil liberties, you chastise the court for upholding civil liberties in outlawing gun bans. Many people view gun ownership as a right protected by the Second Amendment.
Though I agree that requiring government photo IDs to vote is overly strict, I think requiring some form of ID is fair. When voter fraud takes place, other people’s civil liberties are taken away when their votes are diluted.
One person’s travesty of justice is another’s civil liberty.
