Republican 29th Ward Holds Elections

Philadelphia, PA (June 7, 2010) – The officers of the Republican 29th Ward were elected in a smooth and conflict free process. The new officers are: Lew Harris, Jr. – Ward Leader, Zeta Miles – Chairperson, Keya Miles – Vice-Chairperson, Nick Feden – Treasurer, Joseph Haggerty – Secretary and Benjamin Haney – Sergeant-At-Arms.

“It was a goal of mine to make sure the elections went smoothly with no claims of mishandling,” said Adam Lang. “I am happy to say that is the case and I wish the new representation of the Ward the best of luck and success.”

Adam Lang was the outgoing Ward Leader after the retirement of Talmadge Belo. Adam was nominated for Ward Leader at the election, but turned down the nomination as he had promised prior.

The 29th Ward of Philadelphia is in North Philadelphia bounded by Poplar St. to roughly Oxford St. and Ridge Ave. to 33rd St. with the inclusion of Boathouse Row.
